"Castellotti In Contention"

Canvas Edition Size 750
Paper Edition Size 500

For the Mille Miglia on May 1 & 2, 1955, the promising young Euginio Castellotti would drive the only brand new 4.4 litre Ferrari 121 of the five factory team cars. The ferocious power of Castellotti’s new 6-cylinder car allowed it to catch up with the Mercedes 300SLR of Stirling Moss and Dennis Jenkinson in less than 150 kilometers, and to keep the lead right up to the check point at Ravenna, but persistent tire problems eventually resulted in retirement.
