The “Gross Masarykpreis,” was run for seventeen laps over a thirty-kilometer course near Brno, zechoslovakia. In 1930 Hans Joachim von Morgen spun after leading at the start and was passed by the Alfa Romeo of Nuvolari, and the Bugatti of Ernst Burgaller. Daringly he went out in pursuit of the leaders, but soon had to take over the healthier Bugatti of trailing Prince von Leningen, to again go after the leaders and eventually take the chequered flag.
